After the conquest by the Spaniards, Manco Inca and his successors dominated the region of Vilcabamba. It included several centers and built in honor of the last dynasty of the Incas settlements: Manco Inca, Sayri Tupac, Titu Cusi and Tupac Amaru I. According to the customs and traditions of other pre -Inca cultures, a neo state imperial was created to preserve all knowledge in religion and astronomy. Vilcabamba is located in northwest of Cusco, in the province of La Convencion, in the eastern Andes.

It has a chain of snowy peaks and high forest mountains with constant weather changes. The region is bounded by two very deep canyons, the Apurimac canyon on the left and Willcamayu barrel on the right. The rivers still run till one of the most beautiful and spectacular scenery in fast current.
