Buses from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu depart approximately every 15 minutes. Once you purchase your ticket, you will be able to board any bus departing from the bus stop.
Going up to the Sanctuary: Monday to Sunday from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Going down to Aguas Calientes: Monday to Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

From the town of Aguas Calientes, the bus departs for the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, which is located high on a mountain covered and surrounded by vegetation.

After a trip of 25 to 30 minutes, you will arrive at the access control booth for the citadel.
The trip back to the Av. Hermanos Ayar station in Aguas Calientes takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
Yes, it is an alternative for travelers who prefer to hike and enjoy the natural surroundings of the town of Machu Picchu. It takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The route begins by following the same road used by the buses until you reach the bridge that crosses the Urubamba River. At this point, you will find the access control where your Machu Picchu entrance ticket will be requested. Once you pass the access control, you will see the road the buses follow toward the citadel.
The bus takes you to the entrance of the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. From that point, you will have to walk until you reach the Inca citadel.
There is no regular night service. Transportation operates according to the authorized visiting hours for Machu Picchu.
