Electric Bike Tour In Cusco - E-Bike

Explore Cusco by bike! If you want to visit some of the most important archaeological sites around Cusco, our e-bike tour is a great alternative. You will be surrounded by Andean landscapes and will be able to experience the living culture of Cusco’s communities up close. Our starting point will be Sacsayhuamán, and the route will pass near archaeological areas such as Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and more.

ELECTRIC BICYCLE TOUR IN CUSCO - E-BIKE

The tour begins with pickup from your hotel in Cusco at around 8:00 a.m. for the transfer to Saphi. After the guide’s briefing, we will take the bikes and continue the tour by pedaling along a road that leads to the monumental complex of Sacsayhuamán. This important Inca ceremonial site was built with enormous stone blocks, whose transport and assembly continue to inspire admiration to this day.

We will then ride for approximately 45 minutes until we reach Tambomachay, an ancient site dedicated to the worship of water. The bike route will then continue until we reach Puca Pucara.

After visiting Puca Pucara, we will continue by bike and visit the Q’enqo Archaeological Park, a ceremonial space associated with rituals and offerings.

After our visit, we will return by bike along the same trail. Before reaching the end, we will make a brief stop at the San Cristóbal viewpoint, from where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Cusco. Finally, we will end the route at the Main Square and then transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco.

After visiting Tambomachay, we will continue cycling and pass through the town of Yuncaypata, where you can appreciate the agricultural richness and stunning landscapes of the region up close. We will continue cycling along an ancient trail that the Quechua people used for transporting food between communities, until we reach the archaeological complex of Inkilltambo, famous for its Inca terraces and canals.

Inkilltambo will be the final point of our electric bicycle Cusco tour, where after a short rest, we will load the bicycles onto the vehicle, concluding our bike adventure around 1:00 p.m. This is how we will return to your hotel in the city of Cusco.

Itinerary Of The Electric Bicycle Tour In Cusco - E-Bike

The e-bike tour visits the most popular and important archaeological sites around the city of Cusco.

Our vehicle will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at around 8:00 a.m. and transfer you to Saphi. After the guide’s briefing, we will take our bikes and continue the tour by pedaling along a road that leads to the first archaeological site: Sacsayhuamán, a ceremonial center built with colossal stones. We will have an approximately 30-minute walk inside the Sacsayhuamán archaeological complex.

After completing our visit, we will get back on our bikes. We will then ride for 45 minutes along a paved road, surrounded by landscapes and communities dedicated to agriculture, textile sales, and handicrafts. After 45 minutes of cycling, we will arrive at Tambomachay, a center of worship and water veneration. Its hydraulic channels show great engineering skill. We will spend approximately 30 minutes visiting Tambomachay.

Across from this complex is Puca Pucara, an ancient Inca control and surveillance post, which we will visit briefly.

After visiting Puca Pucara, we will continue by bike until we reach the archaeological site of Q’enqo, where you will learn about its ceremonial importance related to rituals and offerings. You may enter its underground galleries or, if preferred, visit the eucalyptus forest, an ideal place for taking photographs.

After this visit, we will begin the return by bike along the same route. Before reaching the end of the tour, we will make a brief stop at the San Cristóbal viewpoint, where we will enjoy a view of the city of Cusco. Then, we will continue biking to the Main Square, where we will leave the bikes and take you back to your hotel in Cusco, ending our adventure tour at approximately 1:00 p.m.
