Huayna Picchu And Machu Picchu Tour

On this Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Tour, you’ll have two entry tickets, allowing you to enjoy the full experience of visiting both of these incredible sites in just one day.

When at Machu Picchu, you definitely shouldn’t miss the opportunity to hike to the top of Huayna Picchu Mountain, also known as Wayna Picchu. It’s an unforgettable experience you’ll cherish forever. To reach the summit, it is necessary to hike from Machu Picchu for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, with a similar time for the return.

This trail can be somewhat challenging at certain points but is undoubtedly thrilling from start to finish. The reward is the breathtaking view of Machu Picchu, its stunning architecture, and the incredible natural surroundings. You’ll capture unforgettable memories with stunning photos perfect for sharing on social media.

Machu Picchu And Huayna Picchu 1 Day Tour

What a fantastic journey! You’ll not only visit Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World, but also hike to the summit of Wayna Picchu (Huayna Picchu).

To complete this tour in just one day, we’ll start early, around 3:30 AM. We'll pick you up from your hotel and transfer you by car (about 1 hour and 30 minutes) to the train station in Ollantaytambo. We offer personalized service, as we prefer small groups. In Ollantaytambo, we’ll board the train that travels through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, offering beautiful landscapes along the way until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes.

Once in Aguas Calientes, our guide will be waiting for you to take you to the bus that will transfer you to the Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary. This bus ride takes approximately 25 minutes and is the most common way to get to the Inca citadel. From here, we’ll begin our hike to Huayna Picchu first, followed by the guided tour of Machu Picchu.

This tour includes a ticket for Circuit 1 or 2 (depending on availability), which allows you to take the classic postcard photo of Machu Picchu.

After completing the cultural and historical tour of Machu Picchu, we’ll embark on an adventure to Huayna Picchu. Climbing this mountain will be a unique and adrenaline-filled experience. The ascent to the summit takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. As we ascend, you'll be treated to views of the surrounding mountains and the Urubamba River flowing towards the mountain jungle.

In the final part of the hike, you'll encounter some steps that lead to the summit. This last section is the most challenging, as the slope is very steep. Finally, you'll reach the highest part of Huayna Picchu, where the view is spectacular, and you'll have plenty of time to take the best photos.

In the afternoon, we'll conclude the tour and return to the town of Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Our transportation service will be waiting to pick you up from the Ollantaytambo station and transfer you back to your hotel in Cusco. This concludes our Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu Tour in just one day.
