Huayna Picchu Mirador Clasico
Huayna Picchu is the mountain that appears in the classic photo of Machu Picchu.

The Huayna Picchu ticket or "Wayna Picchu" allows you to visit the Inca city of Machu Picchu and explore the famous Huayna Picchu mountain, offering the best postcard view of your journey to this wonder.

WHAT IS HUAYNA PICCHU?

Huayna Picchu or Wayna Picchu is located at an altitude of 2,667 meters, on the north side of the Machu Picchu citadel.

Huayna Picchu comes from the Quechua words "Wayna" meaning young and "Picchu" meaning mountain, translating to "Young Mountain." It is the antonym of the also famous Machu Picchu, which means "Old Mountain."

The trail to the summit of this mountain is challenging, featuring steep stairs and narrow paths.

At the summit of Huayna Picchu, there is a lookout offering one of the best views of the Machu Picchu citadel. One can also see remnants of Inca terraces on the slope, as well as a partially built temple known as the "Temple of the Moon."
