CUSCO CITY AND SURROUNDINGS

We will welcome you at the airport to take you to your hotel. Once settled in, we will take you to the different tourist attractions of Cusco such as the Cathedral, the Qoricancha Temple, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka pukara and finally Tambomachay. When the city tour ends, we will transfer you back to your hotel and you will have the afternoon free to enjoy your stay. Night in a hotel in Cusco.

CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY - AGUAS CALIENTES

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to take you on your tour of the Sacred Valley. You will visit the archaeological remains of Pisac and its handicraft market, after a guided tour of the town, we will go to enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba. Afterwards, you will visit the Ollantaytambo fortress and at sunset you will board the train to Aguas Calientes. Night in hotel in Aguas Calientes.

AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU

At dawn, you will take the bus to the Inca Citadel. When you arrive at your destination, our guide will start the tour through the Inca constructions and buildings and you will receive information about the history and purpose of each one. Once the guided tour is over, you will be free to explore Machu Picchu, then you will return to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our driver will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TREKKING

We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to begin your journey of approximately 3 hours towards the community of Cusipata, where you will have breakfast and then go to the starting point to climb the seven colors mountain or vinicunca, for about 1 hour and a half. After the tour, we will take you to taste a buffet lunch in Cusipata and then to your hotel in Cusco.

Itinerary Toura Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and 7 Colors Mountain

DAY 1 : CUSCO CITY AND SURROUNDINGS.

In the afternoon, we will pick you up from your hotel and begin our city tour. We will start with the Cathedral of Cusco, that houses in its walls artistic treasures of incalculable value, and which is considered by many the most beautiful in South America. Afterward, you will visit the Qorikancha. This wonderful temple is considered sacred because it harbored priests of the Inca Empire that were in charge of worshiping, Inti, the Sun God. You will continue your tour to the archaeological centers located around the city of Cusco, starting with Sacsayhuaman, the Quechua name that means "satisfied falcon" and which was built with massive stone blocks. At present, the most important Andean festival, the “Inti Raymi” or “Fiesta del Sol” is still held here, a ceremony that Cusco inherited from the Incas.

Afterwards, you will visit, Qenqo- Quechua word meaning Labyrinth, named by the Spanish for its labyrinthine underground galleries and small canals carved in zigzag. You will continue your tour by visiting Puka-Pukara, called the Red Fortress, which was built with stones that in the sunset acquire a red color. And finally, you will arrive at Tambomachay fortress which was an Inca temple dedicated to worshipping the water. Your tour ends at the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, at approximately 6:00 pm. Night in Cusco.

  • After the tour, visit the Main Square and surrounding areas, where you can appreciate the work of artisans from Cusco in the craft shops. DAY 2 : SACRED VALLEY- AGUAS CALIENTES.

Breakfast in your hotel. Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will pick you up from your hotel and start visiting the archaeological site of Pisac located 45 minutes from Cusco. Pisac gives you an idea of the advanced knowledge achieved by the Incas in architecture. As in the case of other Inca constructions, some studies reveal that this was not a fortress but a kind of "real estate", a property of Inca Pachacutec, consisting of platforms, domestic and ceremonial structures and aqueducts that provided the water for agriculture. Another good reason to visit Pisac is its traditional market where you can find some unique and authentic souvenirs.

At noon you will head to the town of Urubamba to have a buffet lunch, where you can enjoy the delicious Peruvian cuisine. Urubamba was one of the main agricultural centers of the Inca Empire. Currently here the best corn in the world is harvested during the rainy season and the valley own fruits abound, such as peaches, cherries, quince, strawberries, among others. In the afternoon, You will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, that constituted a strategic military, agricultural and religious center to manage and control the Sacred Valley of the Incas; the site was presumed to be used for agricultural deposits, as well as for the military purposes, considering its walls and watchtowers. Ending the journey, you will board the train that will take you to Aguas Calientes. Night in Aguas Calientes .

Breakfast at your hotel. You will take the bus to Machu Picchu Citadel, it is a 25 minutes trip until you reach the Incas fortress. Once there, your guided tour will start, it will last 2 hours approximately. In MachuPicchu you will be able to see many Incas Temples, stone constructions and buildings that were built many years ago. Our guide will explain to you the stories behind each one and purposes.

You will have time to rest and freely explore Machu Picchu and take the pictures to remember the moment. You will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to have lunch, to rest and to get to know the town. In the afternoon you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.. Night in Cusco.

DAY 4 : TREK TO RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

You will visit one of the new natural attractions of Cusco The Rainbow Mountain. The tour starts early in the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco between 04:00 and 04:30 am. We will travel by car around two hours to the south until arriving to Cusipata - Paucarpata district (3310m.a.s.l.), where we you will enjoy breakfast. After the breakfast we will travel by car 1 more hour to the control point (Llaqto), where you will start the trek, it will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

You will appreciate the typical landscape of the Andes, its flora and fauna, also llamas and alpacas in its natural habitat. When you reach the viewpoint of Vinicunca or Rainbow mountain (5080 mamsl.), our guide will give us a description about the orography, ecosystem and colors of the mountain. You can also use the moment to take photos to remember and to admire the beautiful landscape of the mountain chain of Vinicunca. Then we will return by the same route to the point where we started the trek (Llaqto), where our transport will be waiting to take you back to Cusipata. Here you will enjoy the lunch. After lunch you will start the return trip to the Cusco city, arriving between 4 and 5 in the afternoon. The last stop will be near to the Plaza de Armas of Cusco
