We will begin our journey early in the morning, around 5:30 am (we recommend acclimating yourself for at least one day in the city of Cusco before starting this adventure to fully enjoy the experience).

We will start our journey to the south of Cusco, traveling approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to the district of Cusipata, where we will stop to have breakfast in a local Andean restaurant. From there, we will continue to the district of Combapata, which will take us approximately 30 minutes. On the way, we will make a strategic stop to take pictures of the charming colonial bridge of Combapata, a perfect site to capture memorable moments.

Subsequently, we will embark on a journey of about 2 hours, including a stop at the colonial bridge of Checacupe towards the left bank of the Salka River. During this stretch, you will have the opportunity to observe native alpacas in their natural habitat, a unique spectacle. Finally, we will reach the community of Palccoyo, located at 4100 meters above sea level (13451.44 ft).

Here, in the town of Palcoyo, our short walk begins, which is approximately 1 hour at a normal pace, to reach the colored mountain, where we will be greeted by privileged views of the colorful Palccoyo mountain range, with its three visible colored mountains, as well as the impressive stone forest (the visit to this place is optional, and you have to ascend on your own). For those who wish to explore further, our guide will offer the option of taking a light 40-minute hike to reach the higher parts, where the three colored hills and the stone forest are revealed in all their splendor.

After 2 to 3 hours of enjoyment in the Palccoyo colored mountain range, we will begin the return to Cusco, following the same route. We will arrive at the same restaurant to have a comforting traditional Andean lunch, savoring local products from the area.We will continue our way back to the city of Cusco, with an expected arrival around 18:00.
