The Inca Trail is one of the most beautiful and important trails in South America. Along its more than 40 kilometers, it has impressive Inca ruins, mountainous landscapes, cloud forests and a diverse flora and fauna.
The ancient inhabitants of Tahuantinsuyo used this route to pilgrimage to the sacred city of Machu Picchu. Follow their tracks and make your visit to Cusco an unforgettable experience.

DAY 1: CUSCO - KM 82 - WAYLLABAMBA - AYAPATA

The adventure of the Inca Trail begins when we pick-up you from your hotel and transfer to km 82, place where the walk begins until we get Wayllabamba camp (3100 masl). There we will have lunch. After that, we will continue to Ayapata camp where we will have dinner and overnight until the next day. We will walk 6 hours approximately.

DAY 2: AYAPATA - PAQAYMAYU- CHAKIQOCHA

During the second day we will ascend to the pass of Warmihuañusca located at 4200 meters above sea level. It's the day with the strongest walk. We will have lunch before reaching the highest point. We will spend the night in Chakiqocha. We will walk 8 hours approximately.

DAY 3: CHAKICOCHA - PHUYUPATAMARCA - WIñAY WAYNA

We will appreciate the beauty of the landscape. We will arrive to Phuyupatamarka and descend to the Inca archaeological group Wiñay Wayna where we will have dinner and rest until the next day. We will walk 5 hours approximately..

DAY 4: WIñAY WAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

The last day will start very early. We will walk until we get to Intipunku, place from where we will see the sunrise and the archaeological complex of the Incas. We will visit Machu Picchu and learn more about its history and architecture.

DAY 1: CUSCO - KM 82 - WAYLLABAMBA - AYAPATA

After breakfast, we will leave Cusco (3350 masl / 10990 ft) to move to the starting point of the Inca Trail: km. 82, where you will meet your porters and prepare to start the journey with a yoga session. Once ready, we will cross the Vilcanota river (2200 masl / 7217 ft) and continue with the walk appreciating the archaeological site of Llactapata. At midday we will stop in the Wayllabamba river to have lunch the delicious dishes prepared by our chefs, in our dining tent. After lunch and before continuing with the walk, we will visit the archaeological sites of Patallacta, Qente and the valley of Cusichaca, where we will find the Polylepis forest. Along the way, our porters will play the quena or Andean flute and share part of their customs and ways of life with us. During the first day we will walk approximately 7 hours until we get to the Ayapata camp, where we will have dinner and overnight until the next day.

DAY 2: AYAPATA - PAQAYMAYU- CHAKIQOCHA

The second day of hiking will start very early, because we need to ascend to a considerable altitude. During this journey we will see the Huayanay mountain and the Vilcabamba Range. You will travel 1000 meters in 5 hours and will appreciate 3 ecological zones: Yunga, Quechua and Puna.
The highest point will be the Warmihuañusca pass ("dead woman" in Quechua) which is located at 4200 masl / 113780 ft. Lunch will be served before finishing with the ascent. Once at the top, we will thank the Apus, or mountain gods, for the achievement. Then we will descend to the Chakiqocha camp (3650 masl / 11975 ft) where we can visit Runku Raccay (3050 masl / 10007 ft) and Sayacmarka, both Inca archaeological sites. The day will end when we have dinner at the camp. .

DAY 3: CHAKICOCHA - PHUYUPATAMARCA - WIñAY WAYNA

The third day is the most beautiful. After breakfast, we will begin to ascend a long white granite roadway. This path is less difficult than the previous day. It has some ascents and descents, and crosses a densely wooded slope from where you have a magnificent view of the valley and the Vilcanota river. The nearest town is Phuyupatamarca which means "City on clouds" in Quechua (3600 masl / 11811 ft). From this point you can enjoy the impressive ancient engineering. After passing through Phuyupatamarka, the descent begins to the Wi?ay-Wayna complex ("always young" in Quechua) that was built by the Incas on the side of a mountain. After visiting it and resting, we will have dinner in the camp and share for the last time with our porters.

DAY 4: WI?AY WAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

On the fourth day we will get up at 4:30 a.m. We will have breakfast and start our last walk to Intipunku ("door of the sun" in Quechua) where we can appreciate the sunrise. This will be the first archaeological site we visit of Machu Picchu. To get to the heart of the Inca citadel, we will walk another hour and immediately begin with the tour in the "Lost City of the Incas" that was built by the Inca Pachacutec. For two hours, we will enjoy the charm of the sanctuary that has houses, temples, warehouses and a large central square, all connected by narrow paths and stairs. After the guided tour you can enjoy the energy of Machu Picchu on your own, to then return to Cusco.

- To visit Huayna Picchu you must reserve a place in advance because the places are limited (400 people per day). We charge an additional $ 75.00 and secure your ticket.
