As the national capital, Lima has museums showy. Some of them are almost mandatory in nature in a proper visit to this city, others offer a nice alternative to spending valuable time.
Museo de la Nación
This is a meeting point for people interested in culture and art. It was the most important place where pieces from Lord of Sipan were displayed short after the discovery and where musical concerts are held in special, classical music.

Rafael Larco Herrera Archaeological Museum
It is surrounded by beautiful gardens and it is located inside a vice regal mansion that is unique in its kind that is from 18th century which was built on a pre Colombian pyramid from 7th century.

Huaca Pucllana Site Museum
Huaca Pucllana was a ceremonial and administrative center of Lima culture during the early intermediate time (200 to 700 A.D.) The site museum was created in 1984 as result of diverse works of research that had started in 1981 in order to save the archeological objects that were recovered and keep a presence in the site to guarantee its conservation.
