Tour To Machupicchu (Bus + Train)

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel and head to the bus terminal of the train company, where you will travel with a group of other people on a bus to the Ollantaytambo train station. The guided tour lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours, during which you will get to know more about the history, architecture, engineering, flora, fauna, and mysteries of Machu Picchu. You'll recharge your energy and capture the best memories of your vacation.

Machu Picchu 1 Day Economy Tour Itinerary

What Is The Economical Tour To Machu Picchu 1 Day Like?

We begin our travel experience with the budget Machu Picchu tour. Days before the tour, we will provide you with an important briefing to prepare you for your journey.

On the day of visiting Machu Picchu, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the bus terminal, where you will travel with another group of people on a bus to the Ollantaytambo train station, a journey of 1 hour and 30 minutes through the Peruvian Andes. Upon arriving at Ollantaytambo station, you will board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, on an approximate journey of 1 hour and 50 minutes alongside the Vilcanota River, enjoying mountains, small villages, and beautiful landscapes.

We arrive at Aguas Calientes, and our professional guide will be waiting for us at the train station. We will then head to the bus terminal to take you to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu on a 25-minute journey up the mountain. Here we begin our 1-day economical tour to Machu Picchu, and it will undoubtedly be an unforgettable experience where you can discover and connect with the Andean world.

We will visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on an interesting and beautiful guided tour lasting approximately 2 to 3 hours. During the tour, you will learn about its history, the development of its impressive stone architecture, as well as other fascinating details about this mystical city.

After the tour, you can return to Aguas Calientes, a charming town located at the foot of Machu Picchu. There, you will have free time to explore its picturesque streets, visit the craft centers, and enjoy the diverse gastronomic offerings of the area. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the local culture and bring back souvenirs from your trip.

Later, you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo. Once in Ollantaytambo, you will board the bus transport waiting for you, ensuring a safe and comfortable return to the city of Cusco. You will arrive at approximately 23:00 hours in Cusco, where our private transport will be waiting for you at the train station or office of the train company to take you to your respective hotel.

What Are The Features Of The Economical Tour?

Large Groups
Being part of a large group reduces costs without affecting the duration of the guided tour or the type of entrance, which includes access to the House of the Guardian for the classic photo.

Bus Transport To The Train Station
The buses that will take you from Cusco to the train station in Ollantaytambo usually have a capacity of up to 30 people.

What Is The Difference Between The 1-Day Machu Picchu Tour And The Economical Machu Picchu Tour?

Our Economical Tour to Machu Picchu will take you to the magical sanctuary of Machu Picchu on a full-day journey. The characteristic that makes this tour slightly more economical and budget-friendly is that it is conducted in a large group. The regular Machu Picchu tour, on the other hand, has a maximum group size of 08 people, which is why it has a slightly higher price.

In the case of the economical tour with a large group, the pick-up of passengers at hotels in Cusco is usually done earlier. This is because additional time is needed to collect all members of the group. The same happens on the return, as some passengers may be delayed. In both cases, we will try to choose the best train schedules for the economical tour. However, some less popular schedules have a lower price and are selected for this tour option. On the other hand, the regular tour usually has the best overall schedule.

It is important to note that these details may vary depending on the specific conditions of each tour. Therefore, it is recommended to consult with our agency CuscoPeru.com to get accurate information about schedules and pick-up and return policies in each case. TAKE ADVANTAGE of this opportunity to enjoy and save with us!
