During our journey, the guide will provide information about the tour and some tips so that you can fully enjoy this horseback riding day. Along the way, we will be able to see Andean mountains, peasant houses, fields with different types of crops such as potatoes, corn, barley, and some llamas that come from Andean villages along with their owners, all of them well-dressed to take photos with tourists coming from Cusco.
Once we have arrived at our starting point, we will get to know these beautiful animals that will accompany us on this adventure. We will ride our assigned horses based on your experience, and our guide will provide a brief safety talk and provide you with safety equipment. We will begin our horseback ride to Chacan, where we will see the rainbow formed by a small waterfall and sunlight.
After this point of visit, we will cross the cave and continue on the path to the Temple of Cusilluchayoc or Temple of the Monkey for about two hours. Then, we will have an hour to enjoy a delicious lunch. After lunch, we will explore this Inca archaeological complex and its caves. You will also see galleries and passageways that connect with each other, carved walls, and in some of them, we can see blind niches for religious purposes, as well as Inca aqueducts that were used for liturgical or sacred rituals. Finally, you will see the sculpture of a large feline. Undoubtedly, this is a very important sacred archaeological complex where sacred rituals of great importance were performed by our ancestors during the Inca period, and even today, this place is still used for magical and religious ceremonies. As a result, you can see remnants of offerings such as flowers, coca leaves, cotton, etc.
Finally, to end this adventure, we will cross the agricultural field and return to the ranch where we will leave the horses and thank them for the experience they have provided us.
