The Church of San Francisco of Assisi in Ica is an ancient temple associated with the 18th century, which has undergone several restorations. Some tourism sources mention an inauguration or reopening in 1961.

It is located at the intersection of Municipalidad and San Martín streets.
The Church of San Francisco stands out for its modernized Romanesque architectural style. Its façade has three sections and two double-arched towers.
It also has three naves. The main nave is vaulted and ends in a small marmoline shrine with the image of the Immaculate Conception. The side naves end in secondary altars that house different sacred images.
It is worth mentioning that the church houses a large number of images of saints. There is also a canvas from the Lima school depicting the Virgin with Saint Dominic of Guzmán and Saint Francis of Assisi, dating from the second half of the 18th century.
The church has catacombs inside, but entry is prohibited for safety reasons due to damage associated with past seismic movements.
