Embark on our 4-Day Cusco and Machu Picchu Tour for a unique experience, where you will discover the beauty of Inca culture. You’ll get an up-close look at the city of Cusco, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and the Machu Picchu Citadel. This journey will allow you to explore the history and natural beauty of the region.

We welcome you at Cusco Airport (estimated altitude 3,400 m / 11,155 ft above sea level) with a warm greeting and then take you to your hotel. After settling in, we’ll explore the magical city of Cusco and the impressive Inca constructions surrounding it.
We’ll begin our tour at the Cathedral, then continue to Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and finally, Tambomachay.

On this day, you’ll begin a fascinating tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At approximately 7:30 a.m., we’ll pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and take you through the mountains for a unique experience. The first stop will be at the Pisac Archaeological Site, about an hour from Cusco. The Pisac ruins reveal a system of terraces, domestic structures, and aqueducts. Afterwards, you’ll explore the Pisac artisan market before enjoying a buffet lunch in Urubamba, featuring local and national cuisine.
Next, we’ll visit Ollantaytambo, recognized by MINCETUR as Peru’s first “Charming Town.” The Inca ruins rise above the village with massive terraces carved into the mountainside and finely crafted stone blocks weighing up to 50 tons. After the tour in Ollantaytambo, you’ll head to the station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. This journey of approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes will immerse you in lush nature, accompanied by the waters of the Vilcanota River.
Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, we’ll assist with your hotel transfer and leave the rest of the day free for you to explore the town, shop, or dine at local restaurants.

Early in the morning, our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to the bus station, where you’ll board the bus to the Machu Picchu Archaeological Sanctuary. This ride takes approximately 25 minutes. Upon arrival, you’ll begin your tour of the Inca citadel, which lasts about 2 to 3 hours. Our guide will share insights about the history and architecture of this wonder of the world.
After the tour, you’ll return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you’ll have time for lunch and to explore this charming town. Later, you’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo, where we’ll be waiting to transfer you in one of CuscoPeru.com’s vehicles from the station to your hotel in Cusco, concluding our Machu Picchu tour.

We’ll be waiting for you at the airport to give you a warm welcome and then take you to your hotel in Cusco. At approximately 1:00 p.m., we’ll pick you up from your hotel to begin our City Tour. We’ll immerse ourselves in the cultural richness of the city, starting with Cusco Cathedral, adorned with delicate wood carvings, impressive altars, and beautiful paintings created by local artists from the Cusqueña School.
Next, we’ll explore Qorikancha, or the Temple of the Sun, an astonishing site built by the Incas in worship of the sun. Later modified by the Spanish during the colonial period for the evangelization of the indigenous people, it still preserves walls constructed with extraordinary precision by the Incas, alongside Catholic religious artworks.
After visiting Qorikancha, we’ll head to Sacsayhuaman, located 3 km from Cusco. The Sacsayhuaman esplanade offers a panoramic view of the city. This imposing structure was built with colossal limestone blocks, some weighing between 25 and 130 tons. Composed of three overlapping terraces arranged in a zigzag pattern, its vastness and grandeur made it the setting for major Inca ceremonies such as Inti Raymi (the Sun Festival in June) and Warachikuy (a ritual where young men became warriors).
We’ll continue our journey exploring Qenqo, a Quechua word meaning “labyrinth,” named for its underground galleries and small channels carved in a zigzag pattern. Our next stop is Puka Pukara, the “Red Fortress,” strategically located to control access to and from the imperial city.
Finally, we’ll visit Tambomachay, a resting place located 9 km from Cusco. Also known as the “Inca Baths” due to its water springs, it is popularly called the “waters of eternal youth” because of the constant flow of its waters.
We’ll conclude our City Tour near Cusco’s Plaza de Armas at approximately 6:00 p.m.
