We will begin our Machu Picchu + Huayna Picchu tour early in the morning, picking you up from your hotel in Cusco and comfortably transferring you to the train station in Ollantaytambo, a sacred city and important religious center for the Incas. Many of its structures are dedicated to deities and used for ceremonial activities.

The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, after which you will board the train that passes through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. During the train ride, you’ll enjoy stunning Andean landscapes and the majestic Vilcanota River, which the Incas revered as a deity with blessed waters. You will also observe small neighboring villages, transitioning from the Andean highlands of Ollantaytambo to the lush jungle where Machu Picchu is nestled.

Your train journey concludes in the picturesque town of Aguas Calientes, a place rich with ancient energy that invites travelers to immerse themselves in its charm. On the second day of our adventure, we will start very early and head to the bus station, which will take you to the Machu Picchu sanctuary. Here, we will begin the guided tour through the sanctuary. You will be amazed by the stunning Inca architecture at this site. Machu Picchu is a masterpiece of engineering, art, and architecture, perfectly harmonizing with the surrounding nature.

The citadel consists of agricultural and urban areas, featuring squares, temples, roads, staircases, terraces held in place by stone retaining walls, and a hydraulic system with channels and aqueducts for water distribution. The guided tour of this majestic wonder of the world lasts for 2 to 3 hours, and after the tour, we will start the hike to Huayna Picchu, which will be a challenge due to its steep stairs and narrow paths.

Despite the difficulty, the experience offers a unique reward in the form of breathtaking views and an enriching experience. Huayna Picchu is situated at 2,667.58 meters above sea level, and the hike to the summit takes approximately 1.5 hours, offering impressive views and a rewarding experience.

After exploring Huayna Picchu for about 3 hours, we will return to Aguas Calientes, known for its relaxing and healing hot springs, making it a popular destination for travelers seeking rest and rejuvenation. At this point, you will have time to explore the town and visit some artisan centers. 

In the afternoon, we will board the return train to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting to comfortably transfer you to your hotel in Cusco, concluding our unforgettable Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu Tour.
