You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:30 a.m. in our private vehicle and head to Cruz Pata, where the horse ranch is located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. There, you will be assigned a Peruvian Paso horse.
The 8-hour horseback tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas will begin with a short practice session. Once you are ready, you will start the ride through the breathtaking landscapes of the Andean highlands until reaching Moray, where you will receive an explanation about this archaeological site.

After the visit, you will continue the horseback ride to the town of Maras, where you will tour the picturesque village and admire its church, which is more than 400 years old. Here in Maras, you will leave the horses behind and take private transportation to the famous “salt ponds” or salt mines.
This place is remarkable because it has hundreds of pools that retain water containing salt particles, which settle at the bottom of the ponds and are later extracted. Once the visit to these sites is over, you will return by private transportation to the city of Cusco, ending your day tour at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the city of Cusco.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:30 a.m. in a private vehicle and head to the Horse Ranch located in Cruz Pata, in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where you will meet the cowboy and the Peruvian Paso horses.
You will begin your tour through the Sacred Valley of the Incas. First, you will be assigned a horse and begin with a short ride around the ranch. Once you are ready, you will continue to the archaeological site of Moray. Along the way, you may observe resident and migratory birds such as cormorants, seagulls, freshwater ducks, black ibises, and more.
During the ride, you will ascend to the agricultural experimental center of Moray. You will ride along a bridle path on the surrounding upper area of the complex, from where you can appreciate the majesty of this technical laboratory made up of terraces created by the Incas in the form of a sunken amphitheater. It is said that these terraces played an important role in creating microclimates and helping different types of crops and plants grow. From this point, you will also see the mountain range covered with eternal snow, including Veronika, Patakancha, and Chicón.
Afterward, you will enjoy a box lunch and continue the tour. You will return toward the small village of Maras, where you will explore this picturesque town and admire its church, which is more than 400 years old. After that, you will leave the horses behind and take private transportation to the popular Maras Salt Mines, where you will enjoy the impressive view of the hundreds of salt pools used for human consumption.
Once the visit is over, you will return to your hotel in the city of Cusco at approximately 4:30 p.m., thus ending your horseback visit through the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
