Affordable Machu Picchu 1-Day Tour

Our budget tour will take you to the Machu Picchu sanctuary, located among the mountains of Cusco’s high jungle, on a full-day trip. What makes this tour more affordable is that the service is provided in a large group and we choose less-requested train schedules, but the visit time and service quality are the same as the regular Machu Picchu tour.

Take advantage of this opportunity to enjoy and save with us!

Tour To Machupicchu (Bus + Train)

Machu Picchu 1 Day Economy Tour Itinerary

What is the economical tour to Machu Picchu 1 day like?

We begin our travel experience with the budget Machu Picchu tour days before the tour, when we provide you with an important briefing so you can prepare for your trip.

On the day of the Machu Picchu tour, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the bus terminal, where you will travel with another group of people by bus to the Ollantaytambo train station. This trip takes 1 hour and 40 minutes through the Peruvian Andes and will take you to the train station in the town of Ollantaytambo.

Once there, you will board the train that will take you to the town of Aguas Calientes, on an approximately 1 hour and 45 minute journey along the Urubamba River, enjoying views of mountains, small villages, and beautiful landscapes.

Upon your arrival in Aguas Calientes, you will be welcomed by our professional guide, who will be waiting at the train station. Next, we will head to the bus terminal to travel to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu on a 25-minute ride up the mountain, where we begin our 1-day budget tour to Machu Picchu.

We will be able to visit the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu on an interesting and beautiful guided tour that lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours. During the tour, you will learn about its history and the development of its impressive stone architecture, as well as other interesting details about this mystical city.

After the tour, you can return to Aguas Calientes, a cozy town located at the foot of Machu Picchu. There, you will have free time to walk through its picturesque streets, visit artisan markets, and enjoy the varied culinary offerings in the area. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the local culture and take home souvenirs from your trip.

Then, you will board the return train to Ollantaytambo. Once in the town of Ollantaytambo, you will board the bus transportation that will be waiting for you, ensuring a safe and comfortable return to the city of Cusco. You will arrive in Cusco at approximately 11:00 pm, where our private transportation will be waiting for you at the train station or company office to finally take you to your hotel.

What are the features of the economical tour?

LARGE GROUPS
Since it is a large group, costs are reduced without affecting the guiding time or the type of entry ticket, which will be the main entry ticket that gives access to the Guardian House viewpoint for the classic photo.

THE TRIP TO THE TRAIN STATION IS BY BUS
The buses that transport travelers from Cusco to the Ollantaytambo train station generally have a capacity of up to 30 people.

What is the difference between the 1-Day Machu Picchu tour and the economical Machu Picchu tour?

The budget tour operates in large groups, which reduces costs. On the regular Machu Picchu tour, the group size is a maximum of 10 people, which is why it has a higher price.

On the budget Machu Picchu tour, passenger pickup from hotels in Cusco is usually earlier because extra time is needed to pick up all group members. The same applies to the return trip. The train schedules selected for this option are usually the least requested, which have lower prices. The regular tour has the best available schedules.

Check with our agency CuscoPeru.com for accurate information about schedules and pickup policies.
