Itinerary Bicycle Tour in the Sacred Valley

The adventure will start with the pick up from your hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am, this exceptional tour will take us to know the best of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through the villages of Urubamba, Rumichaca, Yanahuara, Santa Ana.

Our route through the Ciclovia del Valle has a route of approximately 15 KM by bike. We start in Urubamba and pass through part of the town until we reach the Ciclovia which will take us near the banks of the river where we can take pictures, then we will go through a stone path that will take us to a bridge over the Urubamba River. Then we will continue along a long trail that will give us the whole panorama of the Sacred Valley and its mountains, as well as the cultivated fields of this wonderful area.

Continuing with the walk we will continue to the village of Santa Ana where we can enjoy our Box Lunch, here we will find some Inca cultivation terraces and a privileged view of the corn fields, after the picnic we will continue the route to the town of Ollantaytambo.

On our journey we will learn a little about the local agricultural products such as corn and potatoes. Then we will have the option to take a short walk through the town of Ollantaytambo archaeological site because among its narrow streets you can perceive the magic that keeps and that despite the passage of time still maintains its Inca constructions and aqueducts intact. To finish we return to Cusco approx 5p.m. approx. transfer to your Hotel.

Everything you should bring to the Sacred Valley Bike Tour

  • Lightweight backpack. It is suggested to bring a small and comfortable backpack where you can carry a bottle of water, sunscreen, documents, among other things you may need on your trip
  • Sportswear. We recommend that you use shorts or light pants that allow your comfort while pedaling.
  • Windbreaker jackets. It is important that you carry a light windbreaker, if it is waterproof the better. In the Peruvian Andes the weather is unpredictable, so you should be prepared for rain at all times.
  • Sneakers. Always use shoes with good grip to the pedal and the ground, we recommend the use of hiking shoes, as it is versatile when riding a bike.
  • Blocker. Important is the use of sunscreen, because Cusco is located at an altitude above 3000 meters above sea level the sun radiation is more intense. Do not forget to bring your sunscreen.
  • Water Bottle If you have a non-disposable water bottle, do not forget to bring it, in any case we will offer you one during your trip.
  • Sunglasses. Similarly with the issue of sunscreen, it is important to take care of your eyes, always wear sunglasses with UV protection.
  • Camera. We will pass through breathtaking landscapes, so do not forget to always carry a camera or your phone, so you can record your cycling experience in the sacred valley.

In rainy seasons, bring a poncho or raincoat.
