DAY 1 : CUSCO – CITY AND SURROUNDINGS:

Welcome and pick up from the airport or bus station to be transferred to your hotel in Cusco. In the afternoon at approximately 1:00 p.m. we will pick you up from the hotel and begin the city tour; you will start with the Cathedral of Cusco, then you will visit the Qorikancha Temple or Temple of the Sun. You will continue your guided tour through the archaeological centers located around the city of Cusco, starting with Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara and Tambomachay. The tour ends in the main square of Cusco, at approximately 6:00 p.m. Hotel night in Cusco.

DAY 2: BIKING MARAS AND MORAY – AGUAS CALIENTES:

We will pick you up from your hotel at 08:30 a.m. heading northeast of the city of Cusco, to reach the town of Chinchero. We will take a detour on a road that will take us to our starting point. Here our guide will give us the information of the tour and the security measures that we offer; in addition our guide will give you all the implements to start the tour of Maras Moray by bicycle. On the way we will be able to appreciate wonderful landscapes such as the Huaypo lagoon, the snow-capped mountains of Salkantay, Veronica and Pitusiray; likewise we will meet with local people in their agricultural work. We will visit the archaeological center of Moray from the high part, a spectacular view that very few people know. Later we will descend to the salt mines where our guide will tell you more about the history and customs of the people of Maras regarding the extraction of salt. Finally we will descend towards Pichingoto and then we will arrive at the Urubamba trailhead where our transportation will be waiting for us. You will have time to have lunch in a restaurant in Urubamba, then we will travel to Ollantaytambo to board the train to Aguas Calientes and spend the night in this town for visit Machupicchu the next day.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU:

Very early you will move to the bus station to go to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu by car. The trip takes 25 minutes; finally you will arrive at the citadel of Machu Picchu, to appreciate the impressive sunrise and also enjoy the impressive view of the Inca citadel . Once in Machu Picchu our guide will begin the guided tour so that you can better know the history and architecture of Machu Picchu. You will be amazed with the Inca buildings and temples, as well as the natural environment that surrounds them. In the afternoon, you will board the return train to the Ollantaytambo station; we will pick you up from the station to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. Hotel night in Cusco.

DAY 4: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas starts early at 8:00 a.m. We will pick you up from your hotel. Our vehicle will drive to the town of Pisaq where we will start our tour visiting the Archaeological Center of Pisac located 45 minutes from Cusco. Another good reason to visit Pisac is its handicraft market as you will find a variety of clothing made from alpaca and handicrafts that may be of interest to you. At noon we will head to the town of Urubamba where we will enjoy a buffet lunch, a perfect opportunity to taste the Peruvian gastronomy. In the afternoon we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, the afternoon is perfect for photography as the light is less intense compared to midday. Ollantaytambo is an archaeological center with a lot of history and legends, we will take a walk with our guide. Finishing we will return to Cusco city, in the way back we will make an stop in Chinchero for visit a factory of Alpaca where the local people will show us all the process of Alpaca.

DAY 5: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN TREK.

The tour starts very early in the morning; we will pick you up from the hotel and begin your journey by car to the district of Cusipata - Paucarpata, where you will have breakfast, then you will continue for 1 more hour by car to the control point to start your challenging trek. The adventure lasts 1 hour and 20 minutes approximately, during walk you will see the beautiful landscapes of the Andes, the snowy peaks and the representative fauna that is characterized by the presence of llamas and alpacas, when you reach the Vinincunca viewpoint or Mountain of colors (5080 m.a.m.s.l.) Our guide will give us an explanation on the geography, ecosystem and the colors of the mountain. You will return to the control point where we will be waiting for you to transport you to Cusipata and enjoy the lunch. You will be back to your hotel in Cusco.
