Trans Railway Company A. confirmed that the railway from Cusco (km 0) to Machu Picchu (110 Km) will be rehabilitated for railway operation since June 25, 2010.

Because operational testing will continue until the end of June, PeruRail defined as starting date of operations on July 1, 2010, but will speed restrictions which may affect the travel times of the various services.

La empresa Ferrocarril Transandino S. A. ha confirmado que la vía férrea desde Cusco (Km 0) hasta Machu Picchu (Km 110) estará rehabilitada para la operación ferroviaria desde el 25 de junio 2010.

Debido a que las pruebas operativas continuarán hasta fines de Junio, PeruRail ha definido como fecha de inicio de sus operaciones el 01 de Julio de 2010, pero habrán restricciones de velocidad que posiblemente afecten los tiempos de recorrido de los diferentes servicios.

Una exhortación del Inca a los cusqueños para que vivan en un ambiente de cordialidad y sin envidias puso punto final a la ceremonia del Inti Raymi o Fiesta del Sol, desarrollada en  Sacsayhuamán ante miles de visitantes y habitantes de la Ciudad Imperial. La ceremonia  se desarrolló exitosamente y el público  expresó su saludo y reconocimiento por las modificaciones efectuadas desde la alcaldía del Cusco  y la Asociación Filigranas Peruanas de  Leonardo Arana.

La primera grata impresión se registró en el templo del Koricancha  y luego en la Plaza Mayor del Cusco, donde el Inca  a diferencia de años pasados  y para satisfacción de la multitudinaria asistencia  fue paseado por todo el perímetro, recibiendo a su paso el aplauso  y reconocimiento.

A exhortation of Inca to the Cuzquenos to live in an atmosphere of cordiality and without jealousy put an end to the ceremony of Inti Raymi or Festival of the Sun,developed in Sacsayhuaman to front of thousands of visitors and residents of the Imperial City. The ceremony was held successfully and the publicexpressed his greetings and appreciation for the changes made since the mayor of Cusco and the Peruvian Association of Leonardo Arana watermarks.

The first good impression was registered in the temple of Koricancha and then in the main square of Cusco, the Inca unlike previous years and to the satisfaction of the massive turnout was paraded around the perimeter, passing receiving acclaim and recognition .

La vía férrea Cusco – Machu Picchu Pueblo  será reabierta por completo a partir de este viernes.

Y ya se podrá  usar con normalidad las estaciones de Cusco, Poroy y Ollantaytambo. El 29 de marzo pasado culminó la rehabilitación del tramo ferroviario entre Piscacucho y Machu Picchu. Ello permitió el reinicio de las operaciones ferroviarias hacia el pueblo de Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes), desde la estación provisional de Piscacucho, y siguió trabajándose en los otros puntos de la vía férrea que presentaban eventos de destrucción mayores.

The railway Cusco – Machu Picchu Pueblo will be fully reopened as of this Friday.

Las autoridades dicen que el ruido de los rotores afecta el hábitat  del oso de anteojos y gallito de las rocas, ambas especies protegidas.
Los helicópteros han sido prohibidos de la ciudadela inca de Machu Picchu en un esfuerzo por proteger la vida silvestre. La provincia de Cusco ha publicado reglamentos que prohíben helicópteros en Machu Picchu y los alrededores de 125 millas cuadradas.
