Explore Peru in 11 days, is a package specially designed for you to explore the best destinations in southern Peru starting from Lima the capital, and through a trip by bus tour the southern Peruvian coast, knowing the Ballestas islands Paracas, the huacachina and "sandboarding" in the sands of Ica, you can also meet the mysterious Nazca Lines. Day 1: LIMA - INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL TO LIMA - CITY TOUR:

Assistance upon arrival at the "Jorge Chavez" International Airport of Lima. In the afternoon, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start the City tour which will last about 2 hours, where you will visit the main monuments and colonial buildings of the capital.

Day 2: LIMA - PARACAS - BALLESTAS ISLANDS - PARACAS RESERVE - ICA - HUACACHINA SANDBOARDING:

Very early at about 03:30 a.m, we'll pick you up from your hotel to board the bus to the south of Peru, specifically Paracas; where through a boat you will visit "Paracas Peninsule". After lunch, we will travel by bus to Huacachina Oasis, you could also experience the so-called sandboarding or "Table on Arena". After the tour, we'll transfer to your hotel in the city of Ica for the overnight.

Day 3: PARACAS - NAZCA - NAZCA LINES - AREQUIPA:

Early in the morning, we will have a 4-hour drive to the airfield of Nazca and so board a plane that will make a flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines. Finally, at 10:00 p.m, from the bus station, we'll board the seat-bed bus for the White City of Arequipa.

Day 4: AREQUIPA - CITY TOUR:

We'll reach the city of Arequipa at approximately 06:00 a.m. In the afternoon, we'll take a guided tour of Arequipa, including the "Plaza de Armas/Main Square", the Cathedral, the Church of the Company, former Jesuit Temple, among other places. Finally, in the afternoon, it will be the transfer to your hotel and you'll have the night off.

Day 5: AREQUIPA - COLCA CANYON:

Early in the morning, we'll begin a journey of about 4 hours by bus to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world (3,400 masl), passing through "Pampa Cañahuas" in the National Reserve of "Aguada Blanca", habitat of vicunas and alpacas (South American camelids). On arrival at Colca Valley, transfer to our hotel or selected lodge.

Day 6: COLCA CANYON - "CRUZ DEL CONDOR/CONDOR CRUISE" - AREQUIPA - PUNO:

Very early in the morning, we'll head towards the "Cruz del Condor", where usually the world's largest bird can be seen flying. On the return, we'll visit the towns of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca. In the afternoon, we'll take the bus that will bring us to the city of Puno where we'll spend the night.

Day 7: PUNO - TITICACA LAKE, UROS AND TAQUILE FLOATING ISLANDS - CUSCO:

We'll also travel early to Lake Titicaca and Uros - Taquile Islands arriving at 11:30 a.m, exhibition of crafts and especially the experiences of the Islanders. At night, we will take the bus heading to Cusco city.

Day 8: CUSCO CITY TOUR:

Welcome and pick-up from Cusco airport to transfer you to your hotel.

We'll visit the magical city of Cusco and the Inca buildings around the city. Beginning at the Cathedral, Qoricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca - Pucara and finally Tambomachay. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 9: SACRED VALLEY OF CUSCO - PISAC - OLLANTAYTAMBO - "HOT WATERS/AGUAS CALIENTES":

The tour starts picking you up from your hotel at 08:00 a.m to take the tour to the Sacred Valley. First, we'll know the village of Pisac famous for its handicrafts, where we will also visit the archaeological site. Day 1: LIMA - INTERNATIONAL ARRIVAL TO LIMA - CITY TOUR

Assistance upon arrival at the "Jorge Chavez" Lima International Airport and subsequent transfer to the chosen hotel.

In the afternoon, we'll pick you up from your hotel to start the City tour which will last about 2 hours. We'll begin our tour with a panoramic view of the "Huaca Pucllana" magnificent ceremonial and archeological center built in the fourth century B.C and considered "Sacred Town" by the Incas.

We'll visit the Historic Center of Lima where you will enjoy more than fifty monuments and colonial buildings, highlighting the "Paseo de la Rep?blica", San Martin Square, Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the Cathedral, the Municipal Palace between others. The Viceroyalty of Peru was the most important of the Spanish Empire and Lima was its capital.

Then, we'll visit the MUSEUM OF CENTRAL RESERVE BANK*, here we'll enjoy the collection of "Peru's Treasures", a fine selection of gold objects, ceramics and textiles of various pre-Columbian cultures. Then, we'll visit he monuments of San Francisco, which is the largest sample of colonial religious art in America. It is really recommended the visit to its subterranean crypts known as "Catacombs".

Day 2: LIMA - PARACAS ? BALLESTAS ISLANDS ? PARACAS RESERVE - ICA - HUACACHINA SAND BOARDING:

Very early at about 03:30 a.m, we'll pick you up from your hotel to board the bus for Southern Peru, specifically Paracas; we will arrive at approximately 07:30 p.m, then we will move, by boat to the "Paracas Peninsula", where the sanctuary's most important wildlife of the Peruvian coast is located. A guided boat to the Ballestas Islands in the Paracas National Reserve, where we might observe sea lions, boobies, pelicans, penguins and other seabirds' ride.

After lunch, we will be transferrred by bus to Huacachina Oasis, located amid beautiful tropical palm and surrounded by towering dunes. We will enjoy a beautiful natural landscape, and may also experience some of the most popular sports in recent times, called sandboarding or "Table on Arena". After the tour, we'll be transferred to our hotel in the city of Ica for the overnight.

Day 3: PARACAS - NAZCA - NAZCA LINES - AREQUIPA:

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will go to the bus station to head for a journey of about 4 hours to the aerodrome of Nasca and so board a plane that will make a 35-minute flight over the mysterious Nazca Lines, which they are enormous line drawings of animals, birds and geometric figures etched in the desert, which can only be appreciated from the air. Finally at 10:00 p.m from the bus station, we will board the seat-bed bus for the White City of Arequipa, named after its buildings of white ashlar volcanic stone which is thrown by the "Misti volcano".

Day 4: AREQUIPA - CITY TOUR:

We'll reach the city of Arequipa at approximately 06:00 a.m and we'll transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, we'll take a guided tour of Arequipa, including the "Plaza de Armas/Main Square", one of the most beautiful of Peru; the Cathedral, an example of Peruvian architecture during the nineteenth century which houses as precious treasures of gold and silver; and the Church of the Company, former Jesuit Temple, maybe the most important of Arequipa by history and tradition, with a beautiful fa?ade with carved columns, laurel crowns, flowers, birds, etc. In the afternoon, excursion to the countryside of Arequipa visiting Sabandia Mill, flour mill built in 1621, driven by the waters of a waterfall, and currently it is in operation.

The Founder's Mansion, an estate of the sixteenth century belonging to the founder of the city, Lord Lieutenant of Governed and Governor Garci Manuel de Carbajal, then sold to the Jesuits, who used it as a retreat, then we'll pass into the hands of the Goyenechea family. You will know its beautiful and restored chapel. Finally in the afternoon, we will transfer you to your hotel and have the night off, we recommend having the dinner at the hotel and go to bed early, because the next day, our guide will pick you up very early to start the journey to the Colca Canyon.

We will also enjoy beautiful pre-Columbian terraces still being cultivated by native Collaguas. Refreshments during the trip.

On arrival at Colca Valley, transfer to our hotel or lodge selected.

In the afternoon, we recommend having some rest and acclimatize to the altitude. If you are in good physical condition, and have some free time to take a walk around the hotel or take a refreshing bath in the hot springs.

Day 6: COLCA CANYON - "CRUZ DEL CONDOR" - AREQUIPA - PUNO:

Very early in the morning, we'll head to the Cruz del Condor, where usually the world's largest bird can be seen flying. On the return, we'll visit the towns of Yanque, Coporaque, Achoma and Maca. Good opportunity to appreciate the life of the inhabitants of these villages which did not have change that much since Inca times.

Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll take the bus that will bring us to the city of Puno where we'll spend the night.

Day 7: PUNO - TITICACA LAKE, UROS AND TAQUILE FLOATING ISLANDS - CUSCO:

Early in the morning, we will have an unforgettable trip on a boat to the Lake Titicaca to visit the floating islands of the Uros, ancient pre-Inca known Lake, settlers as the Water Tribe. These Andean natives built their own islands by periodically adding new layers of totora (Scirpus Totora) vegetable fiber of the Papyrus family. They also use this material to build their houses and boats. We will continue our trip to Taquile, inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who have developed from generation to generation, an efficient and original social system while a magnificent weaving technique. After lunch in a local Taquile inn, we'll walk through hills and archaeological sites. In the afternoon, we will return to Puno and at night, we will be approaching the bus to Cusco.

Day 8: CUSCO CITY AND VICINITY:

We will arrive to Cusco approximately at 06:00 a.m. Our staff from CuscoPeru.com will be waiting for transfer to the hotel. You will have the morning free and then In the afternoon, at approximately 1:00 PM, we will meet at the hotel and start our city tour.

Starting with the Cathedral of Cusco, we will find in its walls priceless art and treasures, which is considered by many the most beautiful works of art in South America. Afterward, we will visit the Qorikancha. This wonderful temple is considered sacred because it harbored priests of the Inca Empire that were in charge of worshiping, Inti, the Sun God. We will then continue our tour of the archaeological centers located around the city of Cusco.

Starting with Sacsayhuaman, the Quechua name means "satisfied falcon" which was built with huge stone blocks. At the time of the Incas, it was called the "house of the sun" and was a religious center of great importance in local tradition. Afterward, we will visit, Kenko, Quechua word meaning "Labyrinth" coined by the Spanish for its labyrinthine underground galleries and small canals carved zigzag. We will continue our tour visiting Puka-Pukara, called the Red Fort, which is built with stones in that tone of colour. And finally, we will arrive at Tambomachay which was an Inca temple to worship the water.

Our tour ends at the Plaza de Armas of Cusco, at approximately 6:00 pm.

• After the tour, stroll through the Plaza de Armas and surrounding areas, where you can appreciate the work of the Cusque?ian artisan craft stores. Day 9: SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO ? PISAC ? OLLANTAYTAMBO ? AGUAS CALIENTES:

Full day excursion to the Sacred Valley .

Breakfast at the hotel. At 8:00 AM pick up from your hotel and start visiting the archaeological site of Pisac located 45 minutes from Cusco by private transport. Pisac give you an idea of advanced knowledge achieved by the Incas in architecture. As in other Inca constructions, some studies show that this was not a fortress but a kind of "real estate", property of Inca Pachacutec, consisting of platforms, domestic and ceremonial structures and aqueducts that provided the water for agriculture. Another good reason to visit Pisac is its traditional market where you can find some unique and authentic memorabilia.

At noon we head to the town of Urubamba where we will have lunch, a buffet where you can enjoy the delicious Peruvian cuisine. Urubamba was one of the main agricultural centers of the Inca Empire. Currently here the best corn in the world is harvested during the rainy season and the valley own fruits abound, such as peaches, cherry tree, quince, strawberries, among others.

In the afternoon, we will visit the fortress of Ollantaytambo, which was a strategic military, agricultural and religious center to manage and control the Sacred Valley of the Incas; the constructs were presumed to be used for agricultural, as well as for military. Walls and watchtowers (probably to protect them from jungle ethnicities). This archaeological site comprises a series of superimposed terraces, showing impressive and large stone blocks finely carved and placed on the upper deck. After we will board the train to Aguas Calientes to visit Machu Picchu early the next day.

Recommendations:
• We suggest suitable footwear, you will climb stairs with many steps. Bring a small backpack, camera, wear a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a water bottle. In Pisac, do not forget to try the delicious empanadas, and purchase an artisan souvenir/memorabilia In Urubamba enjoy a delicious buffet lunch where we invite you to try the corn of Sacred Valley.

Day 10: CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO:

Early breakfast at the hotel. At 5:50 AM, we will go to the bus station to board the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, the journey will take 25 minutes and we will finally get to appreciate the breathtaking sunrise. At 8:00 AM we start the tour by guiding you to know better the history and architecture of Machu Picchu. Marvel at the Inca buildings and the natural environment that surrounds it. The tour will last approximately two hours and at the end you will have until 12:00 PM to rest and freely explore Machu Picchu.

In the afternoon we will have until 3:00 PM for lunch, enjoy the hot springs of Aguas Calientes and visit the town. At 4:00 PM we board the train to Poroy. Arriving at approximately 7:00 PM, we pick you up from the station to transport you to your hotel in Cusco. Hours may vary based on the outputs of trains. Recommendations: Arrive half an hour before the time of train departure.

In Machu Picchu we climb many stairs, use appropriate shoes for a hike. We suggest that you carry a small backpack, a camera, wear a hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and a water bottle.
