Early in the morning, we will visit the Archaeological Center of Pisac and stroll through its fabulous artisan market. Then, we will travel to Urubamba for a delicious buffet lunch that will energize us. Afterward, we will arrive in Ollantaytambo to catch the train headed to Aguas Calientes.

We will enjoy the sunrise at the beautiful Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu, and you will see why it's called the "Wonder of the World" as our guides explain everything about its history and architecture. In the afternoon, we will board the train back to Ollantaytambo, and from there, we will return to Cusco for the night.

CUSCO - MOLLEPATA - SORAYPAMPA - HUMANTAY LAGOON

We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. in our transportation to head to the town of Mollepata, which is approximately a 2-hour and 30-minute drive. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to admire the Apurímac River Valley. Upon arrival in Mollepata, we will enjoy a nutritious breakfast and then embark on a 40-minute hike to the Laguna Humantay. During the hike, you will be able to appreciate the beautiful landscapes. Once we reach the lagoon, you will be able to gaze upon the turquoise-colored lake. After about 40 minutes at the lagoon, we will begin our return to Mollepata, where you will have the opportunity to learn more about the history and customs of this unique place.

We will start the day very early because the journey to the Rainbow Mountain is long, but it's worth it. During this trip, we will visit the rural communities of Chillca and Vinicunca.

DAY 1: CUSCO – CITY AND SURROUNDS

Welcome and airport pickup to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. In the afternoon, around 1:00 p.m., we pick you up from the hotel to start our city tour. We begin with a visit to Cusco's Cathedral, followed by a visit to the Qorikancha Temple or Temple of the Sun. Our guided tour continues to the archaeological sites located around the city of Cusco; starting with Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka-Pukara, and Tambomachay. Our tour ends in Cusco's Plaza de Armas, around 6:00 p.m. Overnight stay in Cusco.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – AGUAS CALIENTES

Full-day excursion to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Early pick-up at 8:00 a.m. from your hotel. We start by visiting the Pisac Archaeological Center, located 45 minutes from Cusco. Pisac is also known for its artisan market. At midday, we head to the town of Urubamba where you will enjoy a buffet lunch, allowing you to savor delicious Peruvian cuisine. In the afternoon, we visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress. It's here where we'll take the train from Ollantaytambo to the town of Aguas Calientes. Overnight stay in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU

Early in the morning, we will transfer to the bus station to ascend to the Archaeological Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. The journey takes 25 minutes, and we will finally arrive at Machu Picchu to witness the impressive sunrise, allowing you to recharge your energy and enjoy the breathtaking view that the magical citadel of Machu Picchu offers. Our guide will then begin the guided tour for you to better understand the history and architecture of the Inca City of Machu Picchu. You will be amazed by the Inca constructions, temples, and the natural surroundings. After the tour, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on your own. In the afternoon, we will take the return train. Once in Ollantaytambo, we will pick you up from the station and transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. Overnight stay in Cusco.

DAY 4: CUSCO – MOLLEPATA – SORAYPAMPA – LAGUNA HUMANTAY

We will pick you up from your hotel between 4:30 to 5:00 am to head to the town of Mollepata, located approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes in the lush Apurímac River Valley. Upon arriving in Mollepata, we'll have a nutritious breakfast and learn more about the history, experiences, and customs of the Mollepata community at the restaurant's on-site museum. After this experience, we'll continue the journey by transportation for another 1 hour and 30 minutes until we reach Soraypampa (3900 meters above sea level). Here, you can admire the impressive Salkantay snow-capped mountain in front of us, and from this point, we will hike for 1 hour and 40 minutes to the turquoise Humantay Lake, located at 4200 meters (13,779 feet). In this place, you can explore up to the slopes of the Apu or Humantay snow-capped mountain.

After exploring the area and capturing unforgettable moments on your camera, we'll return to Mollepata for our buffet lunch. For this hike, you can rent a horse if needed. Later in the afternoon, we'll board the return transportation and arrive in Cusco at 18:00 hours.

DAY 5: RAINBOW MOUNTAIN

The tour begins with the early morning pickup from your hotel, at approximately 4:00 am, to start our 3-hour journey southeast of the city, specifically to the Kayrawiri community, located at nearly 5,000 meters above sea level.

The first place we'll reach is the Cusipata community, where we'll have our breakfast. Then, we'll head to the Kayrawiri community, where the guide will provide recommendations to start the hike to the mountain, which will last approximately 2.5 to 3 hours until we reach the heights of the Vinicunca community. We'll spend about an hour there to contemplate the fascinating landscape and return to the starting point to catch the bus back to Cusco by evening. Overnight stay in Cusco.
