We warmly welcome you and pick you up from Cusco airport to take you to your hotel. After lunch, we will pick you up from your hotel around 1:00 pm to start our city tour, beginning with Cusco Cathedral, one of the most important temples in Peru, consisting of three buildings called Basilica, Triumph, and Holy Family. Inside, you will find artistic pieces created by the Cusco school. Next, we will visit Qoricancha, this marvelous site built by the Incas for Sun worship was modified by the Spaniards for the evangelization of the indigenous people during the Viceroyalty. Inside, you can still observe walls built with great precision by the Incas, as well as artistic Catholic religious pieces.

We will continue our guided tour by exploring the archaeological sites near the city of Cusco. We will start with Sacsayhuaman, whose name means "satisfied falcon." This site was built with enormous stone blocks and during the Inca period, it was known as the "house of the sun." It was an important religious center in the local tradition. Then, we will head to Qenqo, a Quechua word meaning "labyrinth," named so because of its underground galleries and small canals carved in zigzag. We will continue our journey visiting Puka–Pukara, also known as the red fortress, built with red-toned stones. Finally, we will reach Tambomachay, an Inca shrine dedicated to water.

If you enjoy the nightlife, around the square, you will find many discos and bars full of tourists and locals looking to have fun.

DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – AGUAS CALIENTES

We will start our day with breakfast at your hotel. Around 7:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel and start visiting the Archaeological Center of Pisac, located 45 minutes from Cusco. Pisac will give you an idea of the advanced knowledge that the Incas achieved in architecture in their time.

Some studies reveal that it was not a fortress but a kind of "royal hacienda" during the government period of the Inca Pachacutec, composed of terraces, domestic, ceremonial structures, and aqueducts that provided water for agricultural exploitation. Another compelling reason to visit Pisac is its craft market, where you can find unique and authentic souvenirs.

At noon, we will head to the town of Urubamba to enjoy a buffet lunch that will allow you to taste delicious Peruvian cuisine. Urubamba was one of the main agricultural centers of the Inca Empire. Currently, the best corn in the world is cultivated here, and during the rainy season, the valley is filled with native fruits such as peaches, capulí, quince, and high-quality strawberries, among others.

In the afternoon, we will visit the Ollantaytambo Fortress, which was an agricultural, religious, and astronomical center. This is deduced by the Colcas, deposits of agricultural products for conservation based on the wind system (agricultural deposits), and by its finely carved and strategically placed stone blocks in the direction of the Sun God to manage and control the Sacred Valley. This archaeological site comprises a series of superimposed terraces, showing the impressive and large stone blocks located on the upper terrace. It is in Ollantaytambo that we will board the train to Aguas Calientes to visit Machu Picchu early the next day.

Upon reaching Machu Picchu, you will enjoy its magical energy, temperate climate, fresh air, tranquility from the moment you enter, natural beauty, artificial terraces, and incredible stone constructions represented in its Inca enclosures and ceremonial temples. Its intense green terraces and the imposing mountain range surrounding it create a beautiful landscape that exceeds all expectations. You will be amazed by its enormous and impressive stone blocks joined together, making it unique as one of the most important religious, political, and cultural centers of the Inca Empire. The Machu Picchu tour lasts approximately 2 hours, during which our guide will provide you with all the information and be attentive to all your questions. At the end of this fascinating tour, you will have thoroughly explored the mysteries and history of Machu Picchu, carrying with you a unique experience that will linger in your memories.
