Hello all readers. I am an English student here in Spain but am considering spending my summer teaching English in Peru. It would only be a 6 week placement (I have to return to university and furthermore would miss my cats too much; Iād have to take my foto de gatitos with me for sure!). My only worry is that my English may not be good enough to explain complex grammatical issues. I did do a curso de ingles extranjero in the States and have done some turismo social in South America before, mixing with a lot of visitors from the US and Canada so feel like I can communicate well ā but perhaps a certificate in teaching would help me be able to break down the more complex aspects to language learning. Also ā what age/level would I be best to teach ā beginners who only want to know the basics or those who are already very good and will just want conversational class? All advice welcome!
