Associated with magic, knowledge, femininity, fertility and ultimately life itself, Quillarumiyoc, Huaca de la Luna in Andean Peru

Located at 3457 masl, Ancahuasi is a peruvian district, this is one of the seven districts of the province of Anta in Cusco region in Peru, this area boasts impressive Inca architecture a kind as platforms in Zurite, Tarawasi, and Quillarumiyoc Archaeological Center for all lovers of adventure and mysticism.

Name comes from Quechua words whose meanings are "the place of the moon rock", located on Ancahuasi district, this huge archaeological site consists of terraces, waterways, docks and growing areas, as well a small cave inside which there are petroglyphs.

In the center of this splendid landscape, is a huge rock at its most hidden, has a rock engraving, unique in the Andes: a semicircular cut, shaped throne, it dedicated to the moon goddess.

Surrounded by colorful flowers, trees and queuñas, this site offers breathtaking views of the plains of Anta; comes here especially lovers of mystical experiences for make payments to land and offerings to the moon.

For the Incas, who represented sometimes as a semicircle of silver, Mama Quilla is the sister and wife of the Sun deity, somehow, crop and life that comes from the earth.
