Around Machu Picchu a series of archaeological attractions spreads. These complemented in their functions, the proper functioning of Machu Picchu. Visit them, will clarify some small doubts about the functioning of Inca society.
The Archaeological Complex of Q'ente
Q’ente archeological complex is the totality of distributed samples in the land that covers the northeastern portion of the Hacienda that has the same name.
Starting at the eastern end of the complex at about 84km of the rail road, it has 9 archeological groups that are spread until the 90Km of the rail road.
The Archaeological Complex of Torontoy
The villages or shrines are protected by cyclopean walls and each one has their high stations of communication and check points. The Torontoy archeological complex is located on the right bank of Vilcanota river, between the kilometers 83 and 90 of the rail road to Machu Picchu.
Archaeological Coastal Groups
On the left bank of the Urubamba River and passing down the Archaeological Complex Q'ente, other archaeological groups had to be joined together by an important coastal path.
Archaeological Groups in Slopes & Summits
As the archeological groups at the bases of the mountains, there are archeological groups established at the tops or slopes of the mountains where the inca trail goes through.
This groups are immediately established after the archeological groups that cover the Q’ente archeological group on the rout to Machu Picchu via inca trail.
