The chincheros market is one the most important in the region because of the great quality of the crafts they sale here. The qualities of these products are well known internationaly for its excellence and beauty.

It is located  17.4 miles to the northeast of the Cusco city, at 12,343 feet above sea level In somewhere in the middle of the highlands and a ridge, surrounded by the glaciers of Salkantay, Veronica and Soray

It also has very fertile lands, this makes them the first to have the best quality of potatoes, some of the best Andean roots, beans, barley, and wheat, and this constitutes the commerce for the agriculture zone.

How to get to Chinchero?

Generally one gets to Chinchero in the return to Cusco (Tour Sacred Valley o Pull), it takes one hour to get there from Ollantaytambo, and 40 minutes from Cusco. You can also take a Private Tour or Public Transportation from Cusco.
