Majestic Cusco 5 days/4 nights

ITINERARY

Day 1 : 1st day: Excursion City Tour

Arrival in the city of Cusco. Reception at the airport and transport to the selected hotel. The rest of the morning will be free time to become acclimated to the altitude. During the afternoon, there will be a visit to the most important places of the city such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, and the palace Coricancha. There will also be a visit to the ruins near the city such as the fountain of water of Tambomachay, Kenko, and the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Day 2 : 2nd day: The Sacred Valley of the Incas

toours_sacred001In the morning, departure to the designated "Sacred Valley of the Incas" to visit the picturesque market of Pisac. This is where the local people carry out their commerical transactions as their ancestros did in ancient times. After eating lunch at a local restaurant, there will be a visit to the Inca fortress of Ollantaytambo. After this, you will return to Cusco (Note: it is suggested to spend one night at one of the hotels in the Valley).

Day 3 : 3rd day: Machu Picchu

At a timely hour, transport to the train station to board a train to Aguas Calientes. There you will take small buses to reach the top of the mountain where the fabulous Inca city of Machu Picchu lies. Machu Picchu is considered one of the Patrimonio Culturales de la Humanidad (Cultural Heritage of Humanity). Lunch will be included. The rest of the day will be spent exploring the surrounding area.

A free day to enjoy the zone of Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, return to the city of Cusco and transport to the hotel.

Day 5 : 5th day: Cusco

At a timely hour, transport to the airport or the train/bus stations to continue on to your next destination.
