Calca is the capital of the providence of Calca, is located at 18km from Pisaq. In the area of Calca you can find the hot springs of Machacancha and the Minasmoqo.

It was an important town in the Pre-Hispanic period; it is reflected in the archeological remains like Huch´uy Qosqo.

The town of Calca is a beautiful place were to rest, is ideal to relax and to stay for its mild weather and the beautiful landscape that surrounds, also the snowcapped mountains like Pitusiray and Sawasiray. The square is very traditional and it’s decorated by Andean trees (Pisonay).

How to get to Calca?
The Tour Sacred Valley does not include Calca as a destination in its route, you just cross the town by bus, but if you want to get there, you can hire a private transportation as a special request at any travel agency or you could take public transportation. It takes on hour to arrive to Calca by bus.
