Yesterday 260 people were evacuated from Machu Picchu.
The evacuation began at first hours in the morning and at the moment there are 6 helicopters joining all the efforts from armed forces, Peru Rail and Police.
If weather conditions allow the evacuation capacity would be 300 people per hour which would have finished evacuating the remaining 1,600 people in 6 hours.
Peru Rail has made available which will allow 26 buses to transport evacuees to the city of Cusco.
