Two Swiss tourists were rescued [english]
Yesterday, 01 February, a couple of Swiss of 68 and 65 years old were rescued by members of the Highway Police, in an attempt to take a shortcut for the Abancay-Cusco road.
The elderly Swiss tourists were saved from death after falling into a 150 meters deep ravine, they tried to cross on three hills to get to the highway that leads to Cusco. Trying to use the route Lima (Apurimac), in the district of Limatambo, province of Anta.
Sudden, there was a collapse that brought down the precipice, but miraculously saved their lives and were later rescued by members of the Highway Police, which transport them from Ollantaytambo to Cusco.
