Machu Picchu affected by rain [english]
Please note that if you want to travel to Machu Picchu you won’t be able to, because the main roads were interrupted by the release of mud as a result of the heavy rains.
Currently routes to Machu Picchu are blocked by landslides and, according to numbers released by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Martin Perez, there are 1.954 tourists stranded in Aguas Calientes waiting to go to the city of Cusco.
The tourists stranded at Machu Picchu will be transfer through an air bridge by helicopter, from the stadium of Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo, where they will take buses to reach by road the city of Cusco.
