Cusco’s tourist activity [english]

The Tourism situation in Cusco is:
1 .- The tourist services and visits to the attractions surrounding the city of Cusco and Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pucapucara Tambomachay well as attractions in the Sacred Valley as Chinchero, Urubamba, Maras, Moray, Ollantaytambo, Pisaq and the area south of Cusco as Pikillacta Tipon and develop normally.
2 .- For the entrance to the archaeological sites of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo can be used via Urubamba Bridge Chinchero. This route has not undergone any change and can be combined with the valley.
Also, to access to the archaeological complex of Pisaq can go from Cusco to Urubamba district. From Urubamba continuing through the village of Taray, you cross the bridge and transfer is taking another mobility (collective or private taxi) that will transfer to the district of Pisac. This tour is available daily from 07:00 am to 17:00 pm hours.
3 .- The line Ollantaytambo / Machu Picchu has suffered serious damage at different points, especially in the Km 78, 79 and 102. The Railway Technical Transandino SA. (France Télécom SA) and the Peru Rail company reported that the rehabilitation of this stretch will take about 8 weeks. Similarly the railway to link the site called Hydro with the district of Aguas Calientes is also found in remodeled the time which will be taking two weeks if weather conditions are favorable.
4 .- The road from Aguas Calientes to Puente Ruinas is severely damaged as a result of increased flow of the Rio Vilcanota. The Cusco region PROVIAS chief estimated that restoration would take about 15 days. The city of Machu Picchu is making efforts to expedite this work.
5 .- The access road to Cusco is viable:
Arequipa – Cusco, road transport is developing normally.
Puno – Cusco, road transport is developing normally.
Note: The route to Cusco Apurimac is not accessible because the road is damaged by rain in the town of Limatambo.
6 .- The NCI closed access to the Inca Trail from February 1, both for maintenance as per the previous weeks events. Also, the entrance to the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu is restricted until access conditions are appropriate, yet do not have a projection on when it will reopen for the visit. This decision, in part depend on progress in the restoration of the railway and the road on alternate route to Machu Picchu.
7 .- In the meantime, the road to Machu Picchu from Mollepata is having difficulty to access because of the rains and landslides, especially in the field of Qollpa which is located 7 hours Soraypampa village, this is the single point of access order to reach the thermal baths of Collpani and thence to the area called Playa Sahuayaco (4h 40 min. of Qollpa). From this area you can take the shuttle vans of 8 passengers to Santa Teresa, this route at this stage is blocked, but authorities in the area have said they are doing cleaning jobs to this access opening.
