The Municipality of Oxapampa-Pasco, plans to promote biosphere reserve Oxapampa-Asháninka-Yanesha through ecotourism, this reservation was honored by UNESCO as a biosphere reserve in the XXII Meeting of the International Coordinating Council of the Programme of Man and the Biosphere ( MAB) that held in Paris.

The last Saturday in the city of Cusco held the campaign “TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE FOR 10 MINUTES”.
The population participated in this campaign, aware that increasingly, the man who should protect and preserve it, is the main causative that our forests are shrinking, water is running out, our diverse wildlife is extinct.
