El actor argentino, quien fue invitado por Prom-Perú, dijo no tiene palabras para describir lo maravilloso que es Machu Picchu.

El artista estuvo en el Cusco por varios días junto con su esposa y sus dos hijos, quienes dijeron que disfrutaron mucho su estadía en el Cusco y que regresaban satisfechos a su ciudad origen.

“Cuando uno cree que ya vio todo en esta vida, llegas ahí, te encuentras con Machu Picchu y no entiendes nada”, explicó emocionado el actor argentino.

For this, the president offered to provide an special plane for transportation, he also ensured high security.

It should be noted that over 305 thousand people attended to the government palace, in Lima, to observe the 363 pieces, ceramics, bones, stones and metal objects. These were set up on April 12 and then were packed to be sent and displayed in July.

La Semana Santa es una conmemoración religiosa, donde se manifiesta el sincretismo católico-andino.
Es una demostración de devoción del pueblo Cusqueño; con representaciones del ingreso triunfal de Jesús en Jerusalén, se celebra además “La Fiesta de Los 12 Platos” y se hace penitencia por la Muerte del Señor Jesús en la Cruz.
El Domingo de Ramos, a las nueve de la mañana se realiza la tradicional bendición de Ramos y una celebración eucarística en la Basílica Catedral del Cusco.

El día de Lunes Santo, la Plaza de Armas congrega a cerca de 60 mil devotos para recibir la tradicional bendición del Señor de Los Temblores o “Taytacha de los Temblores”, Patrón Jurado del Cusco.
El Viernes Santo, desde las 4 de la mañana, algunos devotos realizan un “Vía Crucis” desde la Plaza San Francisco hasta la Cruz del Papa, ubicada en el Parque Arqueológico de Saqsaywaman. Paralelamente, en calles aledañas a Santa Clara, se realiza una peculiar feria de plantas medicinales propias de la época conocida como HAMPIRANTIKUY, en donde cusqueños provenientes de diversas comunidades ofertan esta flora nativa, de comprobadas virtudes curativas. Predomina la compra de “cruces de espinos”, las mismas que son amarradas a su vez con otra cruz elaborada con hojas de ñihua, y adornadas con trenzas de ajo,  flores silvestres de rosas q’era y phallchas (florecillas moradas).

Un grupo de comunidades campesinas del Cusco están tratando de obtener las papas nativas declaradolas patrimonio biocultural de la región andina del sudeste.

Los representantes de El Parque de la Papa (El Parque de la Papa) han presentado la propuesta de las autoridades regionales en un intento por fomentar la conservación, producción y consumo interno de las papas nativas.

El Parque de la Papa es el resultado de los esfuerzos de seis comunidades andinas en el Valle Sagrado del Cusco, junto con diferentes fundaciones de ayuda internacional, que han establecido un marco para proteger, preservar y promover el patrimonio biocultural de los Andes.

El parque está situado a sólo 3 km de Pisaq (40 km del Cusco), entre 3200 y 5000 metros sobre el nivel del mar, la altura ideal para el cultivo de patatas.

El proyecto se centra en la protección y preservación de la función crítica y la interdependencia del patrimonio biocultural indígena de los derechos locales, medios de subsistencia, la conservación y utilización sostenible de la agrobiodiversidad.

A group of peasant communities in Cusco are seeking to get native potatoes declared a bio-cultural heritage of the southeastern Andean region.

Representatives of El Parque de la Papa (The Potato Park) have submitted the proposal to relevant regional authorities in a bid to encourage the preservation, production, and domestic consumption of native potatoes.

The Potato Park is the result of the efforts of six Andean communities in the Sacred Valley of Cusco together with different International Aid Foundations, who have established a framework to protect, preserve and promote the bio-cultural heritage of the Andes.

The park is located only 3km away from Pisaq (40km from Cusco), between 3200 and 5000 meters above sea level, the ideal altitude for the growing of potatoes.

The project focuses on protecting and preserving the critical role and interdependency of indigenous biocultural heritage for local rights, livelihoods, conservation and sustainable use of agrobiodiversity.

La fiesta de los 12 Platos, es una celebración que se realiza el día Jueves de la Semana Santa; en esta fiesta se conmemora la Ultima Cena de Jesús y sus Apóstoles.
Esta tradición consiste en comer pequeñas cantidades de diversas comidas (entre postres dulces y salados) haciendo un total de 12 variedades.
