Worth the waiting: Full rail service to Machu Picchu resumes July 1 [english]
Full rail service was postponed; Peru Rail says that train service to the famed Machu Picchu ruins will be fully restored July 1.
The popular 68-mile rail line from Cuzco is the only land route to the Incan citadel. As we all know, the line was damaged by heavy rains in January that left hundreds of tourists stranded.
Partial rail service was restored in March, though most of the trip from Cuzco had to be done by bus.
The Incan ruins are Peru’s main tourist destination, with 1,500 to 2,000 tourists visiting daily.
We hope the restoration works to be completed as soon as possible so we can enjoy one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in the world.

Vale la pena esperar: Servicio ferroviario completo a Machu Picchu se reanuda 01 de julio [español]
La reapertura de la línea férrea Cusco-Machu Picchu fue aplazada, Perú Rail dice que el servicio de trenes a la famosa ruina de Machu Picchu será totalmente restaurado 01 de Julio.
La popular línea de ferrocarril de 68-millas es la única ruta terrestre a la ciudadela inca. Como todos sabemos, la línea fue dañada por las fuertes lluvias en enero, que dejó a cientos de turistas varados.
Parte del servicio ferroviario fue restaurado en marzo, aunque la mayor parte del viaje desde el Cuzco había que hacerlo en autobús.
Las ruinas incas son el principal destino turístico del Perú, con 1.500 y 2.000 turistas que visitan a diario.
Esperamos que se completen los trabajos de restauración para disfrutar de una las atracciones turísticas mas hermosas del planeta.

Congreso de la República aprobó Ley de preservación y uso de Lenguas originarias [Español]
Tuvieron que pasar casi tres años para que el pleno del Congreso de la República aprobara y por unanimidad, 88 votos, el Dictamen que propone una Ley para la Preservación Y Uso de las Lenguas Originarias del Perú.
La encargada de sustentar el dictamen fue la Presidenta de la Comisión de Pueblos Andinos, Elizabeth León quien refirió que la Ley beneficiará a más de seis millones de peruanas y peruanos que hablan su lengua materna, es decir el quechua, aimara y lenguas amazónicas.

The Congress adopted Law about the preservation and the use of languages originating [English]
It took nearly three years before the full Congress and unanimously passed, 88 votes, the opinion proposed a Law for the Preservation and Use of Indigenous Languages of Peru.
The charge of supporting the ruling was the President of the Commission of Andean, Elizabeth León who stated that the Act will benefit more than six million Peruvians who speak their mother tongue, ie the Quechua, Aymara and Amazonian languages.

El Día del Pollo a la Brasa ya no se celebrará este domingo [Español]
Debido a la cercanía de fechas con el Día del Cebiche, se pasó la celebración para el tercer domingo de julio.
El ministro de Agricultura, Adolfo de Córdova, informó hoy que su sector decidió cambiar para el tercer domingo de julio el Día del Pollo a la Brasa, que inicialmente se fijó para el cuarto domingo de junio de cada año, con lo cual se busca evitar que la fecha coincida con la celebración del Día del Cebiche.

The day Grilled Chicken not be held this Sunday [Englih]
Due to the proximity of dates with Cebiche Day, the celebration was moved to the third Sunday in July.
Agriculture Minister, Adolfo de Cordova, reported today that its industry decided to change for the third Sunday of July Day Grilled Chicken, originally scheduled for the fourth Sunday of June each year, which seeks to avoid that the date coincides with the celebration of the ceviche.
